Lipsi Island Holidays
Lipsi is one of the hidden jewels of the Dodecanese, and is a small beautiful island surrounded by tiny islets in the north of the Dodecanese.

From the harbour of Lipsi, visitors can take a small boat, and sail to the small surrounding island, such as those of Marathos and Agathonisi. Here you will find some beautiful remote beaches with crystal clear waters.
The island itself also has some charming beaches, ideal for those hot summer days. Beaches such as Liendou, Katsaid and Hohlakourna are prime examples of why this island is one that many visitors find themselves returning to year after year. Another popular beach on Lipso is the white sanded beach of Platis Gialos. For those who may enjoy nudism, you can head to the popular beach of Monodendri.
There are some interesting sites and places to visit on Lipso, such as the Acropolis and the ruins of the old castle. Lipsi is also home to some charming of Byzantine churches, that house a wonderful collection of icons and religious heirlooms.
One such church is that of Agios Ioannis, which was founded in the 16th century. There is also a folklore museum here that is well worth visiting.
Lipsi is still a very undeveloped island in terms of tourism, and the selection of accommodation available on the island is very limited. If you are able to book a hotel or room on the island, then you can definitely look forward to an unforgettable summer holiday.
Lipsi can also be a wonderful day trip from other islands in the Dodecanese. There are boat connections with Rhodes, Patmos, Leros, Kos and Kalymnos, and of course the Athens port of Pireaus. During the summer, there are also boat connections to the island of Samos and Ikaria.
