Activity description

If you are a big adrenaline seeker and a real daredevil, then this is the right activity for you! You will be jumping off a plane at 3.500 metres and flying free for 50 seconds, attached to an experienced instructor of Hellenic Skydivers!

This is a safe and fun experience for everyone who wants to boost his adrenaline! You do not need to be an experienced skydiver or very fit. You will be jumping off a plane attached to an experienced instructor, who will take care of everything. Of course you will have two parachutes (main canopy and reserve canopy), so you do not need to worry about anything. 

Hellenic Skydivers have more than 20 years of experience and all the instructors are certified by USPA, meaning that you will have top quality equipment and all the means to get an idea of what skydiving is. The only thing you will have to do is sit back and relax while falling down from 3.500 metres! 

Where will you be flying?

You will be flying in Polykastro, about 40 minutes away from Thessaloniki city centre. The academy's base is in the Nea Kavala Airport in Polykastro. You will be flying over the Polykastro village having views to the valley, the forests around and the rivers.

Sometimes the base changes to Lagada, near Thessaloniki. 

The centre has a licence (NOTAM) to fly every weekend up to 12.500 ft (3.800 m.). There is a specific zone for landing near the airport without obstacles. The centre operates from 9 am to 8 pm. 

The centre uses a CESSNA 172 for the jumps. 

The equipment

In the centre of Skydive Greece you will find the best equipment specially designed for tandem jumps. Thus you will have two large parachutes - the main canopy and a reserve that opens automatically in the rare case the main doesn't open. You will be attached to your instructor with a harness that no matter what happens cannot be detached. Responsible for the equipment is Maria, a FAA Master Rigger.

After your arrival, you will be briefed by your instructors about skydiving, what you need to do and general information about skydiving. Then you will wear the jump suit and you will head to take the plane. You will fly for around 20 minutes until you arrive to the jumping point. Before jumping you will get attached to your instructor with the harness and then off you go! You will be flying for 50 seconds to the void, till your instructor opens the parachute. You will be landing in a specified zone near the airport.

- Be dressed in sports clothing and walking shoes
- You must be over 18 years old, or if you are underage the consent of your parents will be required. 

- You need to be at least 1,2 metres high (4 ft.), weighting less than 95 kg.
