The Dodecanese island of Patmos is known as the most holy of all islands in the Dodecanese. This is because “Ioannis the Evangelist” resided here for two years, in a cavern between the harbour and monastery.

How do I travel to Patmos ?

Visitors to the island of Patmos will have to travel by sea as there is no airport on the island. There are airports on the nearby islands of Samos, Kos and Leros, so you could fly to one of these islands and then take a ferry over to Patmos.
