The most popular and cheapest way of getting to the Cyclades island of Mykonos is by sea. There are frequent ferry and high speed services to the island from the port of Piraeus in Athens and also that of Rafina on the eastern coast of Attica.

There are also a number of ferry connections to Mykonos from other neighbouring islands in the Cyclades such as Paros, Santorini, Naxos, Syros and Andros. Additionally, there are ferry services to Mykonos from Crete and islands in the North East Aegean.

If you are planning on travelling to Mykonos by ferry during the months of July or August, then it would be advisable to book your ferry tickets in advance, as these 2 months are the peak of summer travel.

Most arrivals to Mykonos by sea will be to the New Port, which is located at the Tourlos beach area of the island. From here you can take a taxi to your destination or arrange pick up with your hotel or accommodation.
