On the 2nd of July 2009 an official annoucement was made regarding the implementation of the Digi Lodge program, that relates to hotel and accommodation businesses in Greece with regards to the creation of websites and online booking/reservation systems.

The subsidized budget of the Digi Lodge program, is 45.000.000 euros that corresponds to the 60% of the program’s general budget that is in total 75.000.000 euros. The remaining 40% ( 30.000.000 Euros ) is covered by private participation.

The minimum subsidized budget per submitted proposal comes to 7.000 Euros and the maximum to 40,000 Euros. The subsidized amount per approved project, comes to 60% of the eligible budget of the investment

The Digi Lodge program, subsides the following actions:

Website presentation of the Tourist Unit witch has multilingual content and offers the ability for Online Bookings with instant payment through credit or debit card.

The webpage must have Online Booking Application with the following operations:

Internet booking System – Web Booking Engine
Administration of Online Booking data as well as information of availability (rooms, spaces, price lists, payment and cancelation policies etc)
Customer’s information of the completion of online booking, through email
